I tried Pumpkin Spice Latte for the first time!

Hey friends,

Yes you read right. I have never tried pumpkin spiced latte! :0

A few days ago a friend had encouraged me to take advantage of the pumpkin season and to just make my own and try it. And I’m happy did.

Even thought it was a little complicated to make (at least for a drink), I’m so glad I did. I’m always and advocate for trying new things.

About the pumpkin puree: I know that In the US (and some other countries) you can buy canned pumpkin puree. And that is truly a blessing, because then you are spared all the effort of steaming and pureeing your own pumpkin. And if you live in a country like I do, where you can’t buy ready pumpkin puree, save up a quarter of the pumpkin (depending on the size), chop onto wedges and steam for 10-15min or until soft and then puree with a mixer.

Below you’ll find the recipe I used and then perfected a little afterward.

Are you curious what my reaction was the first time trying it? Just click on the video above. But watch at your own risk, because I get a little hyped up on caffeine at the end.

  2. In a mixer combine all the ingredients and half a tea spoon of the spice blend and blend for 3-5min. Serve hot and optionally sprinkle some extra spices on top of the latte.
